Congratulations to Taylor Milburn on her creativity, fun and interest generated at the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm pageant. Each year, a panel of judges walk in search of the coolest door decorations and flair at the Capital Plaza Hotel in For the second year in a row, Taylor Milburn won with her Hawaiian themed princesss door. Congratulations Taylor! She received a trophy at the Pizza Party.

During the weekend of April 16-18, 2010 ladies from Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and Ohio convened at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Frankfort, KY. Contestants competed in interview (3 and up), Casual Wear and Formal Wear. At the conclusion of the event, these lovely young ladies were crowned and awarded.Congratulations to all that competed with us this year!

Pageant Rehearsal – A pageant rehearsal is scheduled for 7:00p.m. on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Capital Plaza Hotel.

Pageant Workshop is conducted on Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 10:00a.m. and is open to all contestants.

Pageant Information -  The pageant is open to contestants from all over the country ages three months to 27 years. Boys may compete up to 8 years of age. We are considered low- glitz or natural in that we do allow make-up, but no flippers, wiglets, or anything that may be deemed artificial by the pageant judges or staff. All contestants will receive a trophy and will be individually recognized onstage for their participation in the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant. Contestants will compete in Interview (3 and up), Casual Wear, and Formal Wear.

Compete in Optionals! Western Wear, Derby Wear and 1980’s Wear just to name a few. This year we have added patriotic wear and the 1980’s wear. This is a great way to get some extra stage practice. Optionals do not count toward an individual’s overall score.

Awards -  A winner and four runners up will be chosen in each age division plus seven specialty awards including—Director’s Award, Best Personality. Best Bio, Best Interview, Most Pre-paid Ticket Sales, Pageant Awareness Award, Rising Star Award.

Overall Ad Sales Queen is awarded to the contestant that places the most ads and receives a free registration at next year’s pageant! Ad deadlines are April 1, 2010 and must be camera ready in the form of a jpeg, tiff or EPS file.

Plus! Three Supreme winners that win Cash! Huge crowns! Trophies! Banners! Jewelry!

Pizza Party is scheduled for Saturday , April 17, 2010 at 6:00p.m. All contestants are invited to attend.

Door Decorating Contest – Are you creative? The Door Decorating Contest is for you. Pageant staff will be perusing the halls and judging your door decoration on originality, creativity. The winner of this event will receive a trophy and will be recognized onstage at the pageant finals.

Capital Plaza Hotel – official property of the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant

The Crowned Prince & Princess Charm staff have secured an incredibly reduced lodging rate of $84.00 per night single/ double occupancy. The hotel is located in historic downtown Frankfort, KY and convenient to shops and restaurants. In addition, the hotel boasts an indoor swimming pool and an onsite Salon—Salon J is located on the 10th floor of the hotel. The deadline to reserve your lodging room at this incredibly reduced rate is March 22, 2010. Reservations can be made by contacting Marie Murray at (502)227-5100. You must state that you are with the Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant to receive this lodging rate.

Entering the 2010 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant is easy! Simply fill out the attached application. Mail in the $25.00 application fee to the pageant office listed below or through paypal and kblackwell3@msn.com. The pageant office accepts Checks and Money Orders made payable to Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageants, Visa, MasterCard and American Express. All remaining balances are due in the pageant office by April 1, 2010. Once the application fee is received, you will receive the official Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant packet complete with sample judges questions, breakdown of how categories are judged, and a copy of last year’s official Crowned Prince & Princess Charm souvenir program.

I hope that everyone is doing well. As we get ready for the 2009 Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant, I have some important dates to remind you of as we get closer to pageant time.

First, I want to thank all of you. I have never worked with such a wonderful group of both parents and contestants. When I have a deadline, you adhere to it. It means so much to me as a Director to work with you. I look forward to meeting and visiting with each and every one of you at the pageant. Studio Primetime Taking Photographs & Shooting Video!!

Studio Primetime, a pageant video and photography company from Atlanta will be onsite taking photographs during pageant weekend as well as shooting the official pageant weekend DVD. They have shot hundreds of state and national pageants all over the country. No still or video cameras are allowed in the ballroom. So take advantage of their all inclusive package and you can get a great rate. They are offering a great package of still shot photos and DVD for $60.00 if you sign up before the pageant. Spray Tanning Available

Spray Tanning is allowed at the Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Pageant. Ms. Rita Jones will be on site at the hotel providing spray tanning services for anyone that is interested. Please contact Miss Rita at davidjonestruck@hotmail.com or sundancetans@yahoo.com.

Do you have great decorating skills? The Crowned Prince & Princess Charm Door Decorating Contest is for you!

During pageant weekend, you can participate in this fun competition if you are staying at the hotel. Simply, decorate the outside of your door with yor best pageant and diva flair. The only catch is that you must use tape and you must remove the decorations from your door upon your departure. ( Otherwise, the hotel may charge you a clean-up fee). Judging will take place on Saturday night and pageant staff will announce the winner at the Pizza Party. All you need to do is let us know at registration if you are participating in this event.
